Celebrate the first ever Disability Pride Brighton in style!
This July, hundreds if not thousands of party goers will come together in a wonderfully positive way to celebrate England’s first every Disability Pride; we’re expecting a busy day!
The event on Sunday 9th July along New Road, Brighton, between 2pm and 7pm, is set to be a feel-good affair with music, entertainment, food, a family picnic area and fun for all ages. We’re all crossing our fingers for sunshine!
The reality for many disabled people here in the UK is still one of discrimination. The event, organised by Jenny Skelton, was born after her daughter suffered discrimination during Brighton Pride in 2016. The afternoon is a safe and inviting celebration for all people with and without disabilities, with accessible facilities so that everyone who wants to attend can.
